Is T-Mobile Going To Sell Optimus 2X As “G2x”?

It appears that T-Mobile may be bringing LG’s powerhouse Optimus 2X handset to the states as part of the “G” series of flagship Android devices. The G2x, as the Optimus 2X would be called, would join the G2 and LG G-Slate as part of the “Google experience” device line started by the G1.
No word on pricing or availability. We’ll keep an eye out, though.

LG Optimus 2X now coming to Europe in March, a little later than planned

European dual-core aficionados were promised their fix way back in January from LG, however the Korean company's delivery schedule evidently slipped a tiny bit as we're today bidding adieu to the month of February. Good news is that LG will definitely, totally, honestly be releasing its Optimus 2X in "key European markets" this March. It'll ship with Froyo on board, however a Gingerbread update is expressly promised, which should allay fears of being left with a very powerful but outdated piece of hardware. Last time we looked, Amazon's German branch had priced this handset, to be known as theOptimus Speed in Deutschland, at just under €500, which sounds about right for its eventual unlocked price.

Optimus 3D & Xperia Play On Pre-Order In the UK For Over £500

This is just one of those early, unsubsidized, let’s-not-freak-out-yet prices, but still. £520 works out to nearly 850 of our anemic US “dollars.” What does Sony-Ericsson think this Play thing is, the PSP 2?
And the Optimus 3D — it’s certainly a beast of a phone, but with the 3D effect not blowing us away and the market for that kind of thing rather limited, I’m not sure it’s going to move a lot of units without an 80% carrier subsidy. Hey, it happens.
The prices come from Play.com, and should be taken with a grain of salt. We’ll probably hear some soothing, corrective words from S-E and LG over the next week.

LG G-Slate to Appear at MWC...As the Optimus Pads

LG Optimus PadIn Europe, it turns out you don't call it the G-Slate.
LG Electronics' recently revealed G-Slate (as it's called here in the states) will be making an appearance at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, only it will go by the name Optimus Pad. LG sent out a Korean press release today about the impending announcement of the European variant at the MWC, which will run from February 14 to the 17.
Despite the fact that in Europe the device is referred to as the Optimus Pad, it should maintain the same specs as the American G-Slate, which were unveiled not too long ago. Powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, the Optimus Pad/G-Slate will have 32 GB of internal storage, an 8.9-inch screen with 3D capabilities, a front-facing camera, and will run Google Android OS 3.0, aka Honeycomb.

Vodafone Leak Confirms That HTC Flyer, Pyramid, Optimus 3D; Outs Two Others

Vodafone Germany Inventory SystemA Vodafone Germany inventory system has all but confirmed the appearance of certain devices at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, while also unveiling ones that have never been heard of before.
The Flyer tablet and Pyramid smartphone, from HTC, could be found in the depths of the inventory, though they had been revealed prior to their appearance on the list. The LG Optimus 3D, a 3D smartphone that was recently teased in a poster for LG's event at MWC, was also on the list.
In addition, the German inventory system, which appeared on Engadget via FoneArena, revealed two devices that were previously unheard of: the HTC Desire 2 and the LG Star Tab. They remain shrouded in mystery, however, as no details about the devices could be gleaned from the inventory list. It's not even known whether or not the Star Tab is definitely a tablet, though it's probably safe to assume that the Desire 2 is still a smartphone, like its predecessor.
